SAVE THE DATE 26TH APRIL: Life M3P – CIRCULAR CHALLENGE: FROM WASTE TO DESIGN

Design schools of Milan face the challenge of circular economy: Material ConneXion Italia invites their young designers to explore innovative applications for industrial wastes provided by several european companies.

More than 20 waste materials will be introduced to the participants of the different design institutions from Milan such as IED, NABA and DOMUS ACADEMY in order to be explored, manipulated and rethought with a creative approach throughout the upcoming months and suggest design concepts providing a second life to industrial wastes.

The initiative promoted by Material ConneXion Italia, is part of the international project Life M3P – Material Match Making Platform, which aims at improving waste management in industrial districts, fostering their use within the district’s companies in order to reduce treatment, deposit, transportation and resulting environmental impact.

The event is open to the students of the involved design institutions, to the companies providing the industrial wastes as well as to other interested stakeholders not directly involved in the initiative.

The event will be held c/o SUPERSTUDIO PIÙ via Tortona, 27 – Milano within the exhibition ‘SMART CITY: MATERIALS, TECHNOLOGY & PEOPLE’
